“AfterNoise” is an interactive patch coded in VVVV which uses the beat of any song that is input or listened to by the computer’s mic to interact with it.

AfterNoise uses a BeatDetector to scan, through the bang of a “1” value, the various movements in the patch:

  • The blob ripple at the center;
  • The random position of the spheres around the center, as well as the random increase or decrease of their number and the number of their sides, and also their colour;
  • The position of the 3D camera within the scene.

Every movement is then blunted by a Damper to a more organic rhythm.
